FAQs on Our Lead-Free Paint

There are many questions you may have on our "green" acrylic paint. Although we do not have all the answers you seek on this website, you may contact us at any time for more details on our paint. We try to answer any questions about our products to the best of our ability.

Q: Are there harmful emissions released after a regular paint has dried?
A: Absolutely. Just because a regular paint has dried, the harmful VOCs and other emissions are continuously released up to months after the paint has dried. Don't think that just because the smell is gone, the harmful emissions are gone.

Q: Can I get semi gloss or gloss Baby Safe Paint?
A: Unfortunately, no. There is no product on the amrket today that allows us to make a Zero VOC, Low Odor Paint in a semi gloss or gloss finish. Once a product is available, we will test it and immediately offer it in our paint line. As of now we only can offer our safe paint in a matte or flat finish.

Q: Can I use your "Zero VOC" paint on furniture?
A: Absolutely. It's a great and safe way to paint any furniture in your house to ensure the safety of your family. It is durable and provides a great finish.

Q: Do you have a varnish or topcoat with no VOCs?
A: We are in the process of researching a new "Zero VOC" varnish and hope to have it out in the next few months.

Q: Can I use this paint for rooms other than for babies?
A: Yes, this paint would be great for all rooms in your house. It is perfect for people with respiratory problems, people with chemical sensitivities, and for those who want to live in a healthier environment.

Q: I have a color card from another company and I love the color, can you duplicate it?       A: If you order at least 5 gallons from us we can attempt to dulicate the color. In most cases we will be able to, but because we are limited to only Zero VOC colorants we may run into a problem.

Consider the Health Effects of VOCs
Exposure can trigger asthma attacks or create throat and eye irritations, respiratory problems, nausea, and headaches. Long-term exposure can lead to cancer or kidney and liver diseases. Research has shown that indoor air is a leading health risk. This is partially due to the paints, varnishes and solvents we use that contain high VOCs. The EPA states that "VOCs" include a variety of chemicals, some of which may have short- and long-term adverse health effects. Concentrations of many VOCs are consistently higher indoors (up to 10 times higher) than outdoors. VOCs are emitted by a wide array of products numbering in the thousands, including paints and lacquers.

Create a healthier living environment by painting with our Zero VOC paint.
